Americans for Safe Access (ASA) Maryland chapter meeting (MD) June 27 2019
Americans for Safe Access (ASA) is revitalizing our Maryland chapter, and you are invited to our first meeting of the year on June 27, 2019 from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Mid-County Community Center, 2004 Queensguard Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904.
ASA is the largest national organization of patients, medical cannabis providers, medical professionals, scientists, and concerned citizens promoting safe and legal access to cannabis for therapeutic use and research with over 100,000 advocates in all 50 states. ASA had a hand in passing medical cannabis laws in 34 states, including Maryland and the District of Columbia.
At this meeting, we will give an overview of ASA and share ASA’s missions and goals for 2019. Some of the goals of the chapter may include, but are not limited to, helping ASA to:
Advocate for passage of medical cannabis at the federal level;
Advocate for improvements to current medical cannabis laws in Maryland;
Raise awareness of our national End Pain, Not Lives campaign (EPNL);
Raise awareness of ASA’s Cannabis Care Certification (CCC) program for patients, caregivers and medical professionals;
Raise awareness of ASA’s Patient Focused Certification (PFC) training for the cannabis industry; and/or
Raise funds for ASA’s Maryland chapter or ASA’s national office
