With COVID-19 still continuing to spread, researchers around the world have been looking into medical cannabis as a potential treatment or prevention for COVID-19. While it is too early to tell definitive results, some preliminary findings are showing promise.

This virtual event will bring together researchers and clinicians from around the world who are studying the potential effects of certain cannabis extracts and combinations have on COVID-19 the impact the virus has on medical cannabis patients and adult use cannabis consumers.

Dr. Igor Kovalchuk, CEO of Pathway Rx, Professor and Board of Governors Research Chair at the University of Lethbridge

Dr. Kovalchuk Will present data from a recently published study reporting hemp extracts high in CBD and its potential to block proteins that provide a “gateway” for COVID-19 to enter host cells. Potential of a safe adjunct therapy for the treatment of COVID-19.

Kebra Smith-Bolden, RN Founder and President of CannaHealthTM will present about the clinical impacts of COVID-19 on cannabis patients.

Michael Kahn, MCR Labs

Michael Kahn will present about the impact of COVID-19 on public health and safety in cannabis – what does the future look like?

Dr. Marion McNabb, President Cannabis Center of Excellence, INC

Dr. McNabb will present data from the Cannabis and COVID-19 research study with UMass Dartmouth.
