Make Your Own Mala – 420-Friendly Workshop in DC – July 30 2017

Make your own beautiful mala at this special cannabis-friendly event. Malas are prayer beads used to chant mantras. They are made with 108 semi-precious stones. In the workshop, you will set a personal intention for your mala during guided meditation, and then learn how to string and knot a beautiful and meaningful mala.

Stacey Mulvey of Denver, CO was apprenticed into teaching the ancient art of mala making by Ky Gabriel of Peacock Arts. Stacey has directly experienced the power of mala making, in fact the intention she set for her first mala put her on a path that led directly to her bringing this art to Washington DC!

The price of the mala is included with ticket price. You select your own beads and thread color, and they must be ordered in advance to the workshop. Because they require special ordering, be sure to register early and begin personalizing your mala right away.

This event is held in a 420 friendly home, where participants are welcome and encouraged to consume marijuana. This is completely optional, but due to this aspect participants must be over 21 and have proof of ID.
