DC Cannabis Business Association
Tonight is our special October Zoom Sesh!
Starting at 7:10pm, we are linking up with DC Cannabis Business Association to do a full reading of the DC Council’s proposed tax & regulate legislation. Please click here to register to attend tonight’s special Zoom Sesh.
Often our friends in the cannabis community don’t feel empowered to read the laws or participate in this important process because they are not lawyers. The truth is that you don’t need to be a lawyer to read, comment, or testify on proposed legislation! More importantly, we will have at least one lawyer on hand tonight during our reading to help everyone interpret the legislation. This is your chance to help craft DCMJ’s testimony at next month’s hearing.
If you haven’t already, click here to register to testify on November 19. You *do not* need to be a DC resident to testify at the hearing! This means anyone in the world with an Internet connection and Zoom can testify. We encourage everyone reading this to sign up.
Finally, read over the 74 page legislation now. By reading B24-0118, “Comprehensive Cannabis Legalization and Regulation Act of 2021,” in advance you will be able to provide your important feedback more quickly this evening.
We will send everyone who registers an email at around 5pm today with the Zoom link and passcode. Be sure to double check your spam folder because we were informed that a few of our invite emails have unfortunately ended up there in the past. It doesn’t hurt to search for “DCMJ.org” because the email might show up with that search. Questions? Please email 420ZoomSesh@DCMJ.org
